Our History
Parkland Veterinary Hospital was originally opened in Parkland Mall in Red Deer in 1976 by Jan Brigden. Soon after, the expanded business moved to North Red Deer. Now, after serving the Red Deer community for 40 years, we have moved to Sylvan Lake. Dr. Lana Keating provides superior client service that has been maintained throughout the clinic’s history. Our patients include dogs, cats and pocket pets. Our love of animals shows in every visit.
Parkland Veterinary Hospital is proud to partner with local animal rescue groups, such as, Alley Cat Rescue Society, Whisper Rescue, Hope Lives Here, and the Central Alberta Humane Society, with the goal of helping to find loving homes for Red Deer and area’s homeless cats and kittens. Cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a cat from us – includes a complete health exam, spay or neuter, all vaccines, micro-chip, deworming, and other parasite control.
