Dr. Lana Keating - Owner/ Veterinarian
Dr. Lana Keating graduated with distinction from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 1998. Originally from Saskatchewan, she has been with Parkland Veterinary Hospital over 20 years. Lana has a special interest in dermatology and ophthalmology. She also enjoys laser surgery, soft tissue surgery and therapeutic/rehabilitative laser therapy. Lana lives on an acreage with her husband and 3 children. Her pets include dogs and cats as well as chickens and goats. Outside of veterinary medicine she enjoys travelling, being outdoors, and volunteering in the community. |
Dr. Jan Anderson - Veterinarian
Dr. Jan Anderson graduated from WCVM in 1982. She worked primarily in Calgary as a small animal vet at different city practices, the Calgary Humane Society, and Calgary Animal Services before owning her own practice from 2001 to 2013. Dr. Anderson has been with Parkland Vet since June 2018. She lives in Gull Lake and recently picked up Sienna, her long awaited puppy. Dr. Anderson has 5 grown children, and is very active with hiking, cycling, kayaking and playing soccer. |

Dr. Mirjam Stigter - Veterinarian
Dr. Mirjam Stigter graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She grew up on a farm east of Gull Lake and now lives in the Bentley area with her husband on their own acreage.
After practicing at a mixed animal clinic for a year, she joined the clinic at Parkland Veterinary Hospital in August 2020. Her veterinary interests include preventative medicine in all species. In her spare time, Mirjam enjoys being outdoors, spending time time with her husband, going for walks, and biking.

Tim Keating - Owner/ Practice Manager
Tim Keating is the Practice Manager and co-owner of Parkland Veterinary Hospital. Tim is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the veterinary hospital in partnership with his wife Dr. Keating. Tim has an MBA from Athabasca University and prides himself on helping the Parkland Vet Hospital team achieve its goals by offering excellent care for pets and quality service. |
Kimberley Mercer - RVT
Kim has worked at PVH since 2013 as a Registered Veterinary Technologist. She graduated from Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology in 2008. She and her husband Aaron have a cat named Montana. In her spare time Kim enjoys golfing, camping, travelling with Aaron and hiking. |

Krista Stannard - RVT
Krista graduated from NAIT in 1996 and started working for PVH in 2018. Krista lives in Sylvan Lake with her husband Todd and 2 daughters. In the summer, they spend time with their two French Bulldogs at Gull Lake , and in the winter, they can be found running the kids to figure skating and school sports.

Darian Thiessen - RVT
Darian graduated from Olds College with her RVT diploma in February 2020. She did her practicum here at PVH and was then hired onto the team. She currently lives in Red Deer, and loves to hike in her free time as well as read books and watch Netflix with her cats Goku and Veggie.

Stefanie Neukom - RVT
Stefanie graduated from the Animal Health Technology Program at Grande Prairie College in 2020. She worked for us for awhile, then left to gain other experience in Calgary. She returned to the area in the fall of 2022 and we immediately hired her back on staff. Stefanie owns a tripawd kitty named Pirate and her favourite hobbies are hiking, camping, and horseback riding. She currently lives outside of Alhambra with her family.

She has been grooming for the past 19 years, providing exceptional customer service and care for your pets. Aimee has won the Best Groomer in Red Deer award for 5 years running.
Aimee lives in Eckville with her husband Dustin, daughter Lailah, 3 dogs and 1 cat. In her spare time she enjoys camping, kayaking, long walks with her dogs, and making family memories.

Shelley moved to Sylvan Lake with her husband and 2 children 10 years ago. She enjoys music, writing, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering with her kids sports programs. Jillian has been with PVH since 2015. She graduated from Olds College as a Veterinary Medical Receptionist in 2009 and has also earned an LPN degree from Red Deer College. Jillian currently lives in Red Deer with her husband Denis, two children, 3 cats: Lucy, Ray, and Saffy; and a dog, Maebe. Jillian is passionate about cats and preventative health. Jillian will be away for awhile on maternity leave as her daughter arrived as an early Christmas present.

Chelsea started working at PVH in 2021 as a groomer. She has had a life long passion with animals and is thrilled to be combining that passion with a rewarding career. In her spare time she likes music, dancing, drawing, painting, beading, gymnastics, volleyball and karate. |
Melissa Pretty - Professional Groomer
Melissa joined our team in 2018. She is a Professional Dog Groomer with over 17 years experience. Melissa completed her dog grooming course with honours in 2003 and has been grooming ever since. She has a lot of patience and loves to take the time it needs to make your pet beautiful. In her spare time, Melissa has a passion for fly fishing, camping, hiking and spending time with her family outdoors. |
Jenn Blundell -All round helper
It takes a lot of people to run a successful, efficient clinic. Another one of our valued employees is Jenn. She is our Jenn of all trades. She can be found in reception, helping with grooming, unpacking orders in the back, and keeping the operating room and kennels spotless. Jenn lives in Sylvan Lake with her husband and son and 2 French Bulldogs. |

Corey graduated from Olds College in March 2020 with her VMR certificate. She did her practicum at PVH and was later hired on as a receptionist. Corey currently lives in Red Deer with her family and two dogs Rocko and Sparky. She enjoys spending time with family and walking her dogs.
